For the purpose of sharing difficulties (caused by the epidemic Covid-19) with enterprises. Vietnam Ministry of Finance promulgated the Circular 45/2020/TT-BTC to regulating the rates of barcode and industrial property registration fees. The applicants only need to pay 50% of the industrial property registration fee compared to the previous fee.
According to Circular No. 263/2016 / TT-BTC, from May 26, 2020 to the end of December 31, 2020, the applicants only need to pay 50% of the fee regulated in the Column A.
The Industrial Property registration shall be reduced by 50% until the end of 2020

The 50% discount is only based on the application fee, so this reduction is negligible (reduce $ 1 -2 $ USD). However, this is also an effective and practical action of competent authorities to encourage enterprises/individuals to be active in taking actions to protect their intellectual property rights.
